10-Yard Roll-Off
At a Glance

The 10-yard roll-off is our smallest container and the easiest to place on a tight NYC driveway or curb. It suits single-room projects and cleanouts where the debris volume is modest — or heavy material like concrete, brick, or dirt, where weight fills a container long before volume does.

What a 10-Yard
Is Good For

Sizing tip: If you are clearing more than one room, or tearing out a kitchen with cabinets and countertops, a 20-yard usually costs less than ordering a second 10-yard. Still not sure? Read our guide, What Size Dumpster Do I Need?, or call and we will recommend a size in a couple of minutes.

& Permits

If the container can go in your driveway or a private lot, no permit is required. If it has to sit on a public NYC street, the city requires a DOT permit — we file it for you. See our NYC DOT dumpster permit guide for how it works, and our NYC dumpster rental cost guide for what affects your price.

We serve Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island.

10-Yard Dumpster FAQ

How much does a 10 yard dumpster cost?
The 10-yard base price is $699 with 1 ton of debris included, and there is no fuel surcharge or hauling fee. Sales tax is not included and card payments carry an extra processing fee. Additional weight, an NYC DOT street permit if needed, and extra days are quoted before you book.
What fits in a 10 yard dumpster?
Roughly 4 pickup-truck loads of debris. It is a good fit for home cleanouts and decluttering, bathroom or kitchen remodels, garage and basement cleanups, yard waste and landscaping, and light renovation debris. Weight matters as much as volume: heavy material like concrete, brick or dirt reaches the weight allowance before the container is full, so tell us what you are throwing out when you book.
Is there a weight limit?
The $699 base price includes 1 ton of debris. Heavier loads are billed per additional ton — call (516) 515-1951 for the current overage rate. Heavy materials like concrete, brick, and dirt add weight quickly, so tell us what you are disposing of when you book.
How big is a 10 yard dumpster?
Our 10-yard roll-off measures about 14' × 7.5' × 3.5' and holds roughly 4 truck loads of debris.
How long can I keep the container?
The standard rental is 7 days. If you need more time, call before your rental ends and we will set up an extension.
Do I need a permit?
No permit is needed when the container sits on a private driveway or lot. Placing it on a public NYC street requires an NYC DOT permit, and we handle the filing for you — just mention it when you call.
What can't go in the dumpster?
Hazardous waste, asbestos, paint, chemicals, tires, batteries, and propane tanks are not allowed. If you are unsure about an item, call us before you load it.
